Rinneadar taifeadadh ar rang 6 roimh na Nollag.  Beidh siad le cloisint amach anseo ar an raidió maidin éigin. Bí ag faire amach dóibh.

An Lusitania
Ar an 7ú lá de Bhealtaine 1915, dhruid an Lusitania i dtreo cósta na hÉireann. Thug U- Bhád 20 faoi ndeara í agus scaoil sí torpéid. Chonaic an fairtheoir ar an Lusitania é ach bhí sé ró- dhéanach don bhád. Buaileadh an long ar a taobh agus phléasc sí.

Thosnaigh an Lusitania ag dul faoin uisce láithreach bonn. D’ordaigh an Captaen Liam Turner an long a dhíriú chuig cósta na hEIreann ach ba shaothar an aisce é. Mar sin, d’ordaigh an captain an long a thréigean. Faoin am seo, bhí an long ar a taobh, ag dul faoin uisce go tapaidh agus theip ar  an chuid daoine an long a fhágáil dá bharr. Laistigh de 20 nóiméad a bheith buailte, chuaigh Lusitania go tóin poill. As an 1,959 duine ar bhord, tháinig 761 slán agus maraíodh 1,198.

Chuir marú an oiread sin daoine neamhchiontacha uafás agus alltacht ar dhaoine ar fúd na cruinne.

On May 7, 1915 the Lusitania was approaching the coast of Ireland. The voyage was almost over, but it had reached its most dangerous point. It was soon spotted by the German u-boat U-20. The u-boat moved in to attack and fired a torpedo. A lookout on the Lusitania spotted the wake of the torpedo, but it was too late. The torpedo made a direct hit on the side of the ship and a huge explosion was felt throughout the ship.

The Lusitania immediately began to sink. The captain of the Lusitania, Captain William Turner, ordered that the ship head for the Irish coast, but it was no use. Within a few minutes the captain gave the order to abandon ship. Many people had difficulty in getting off the ship because it was tilted so far to the side and sinking so fast. Within twenty minutes of being struck, the Lusitania had sunk. Of the 1,959 people on board, only 761 survived and 1,198 were killed.

All around the world, people were horrified with the murder of innocent people. Support for the Allies grew in lots of countries, and in the USA. Later on USA entered the war on the Allied side and fought against Germany.
